Want to perform in our Showcase?

I am working on our upcoming Belly Dance Student Showcase. This showcase is optional for any and all of my Belly Dancing students, beginners, new students, current students, and advanced students. Performing is such an amazing experience!!! The learning process.... the costumes... the practices... the rehearsals... the performance... so awesome! An experience like no other.

October 25, 2015

We will include 4 choreographies:

1) WARDA WARDA:
A Beginner Choreography (with the Basic 12 moves we learn in my Beginner Intensives and drill in class).

2) BROOKLYN BALADI:
A Tribal Fusion piece which is a Beginner choreography that includes Basic 12 moves along with some layered Intermediate moves and incorporates Tribal Fusion stylization and quicker step changes which move it into the Intermediate category.

3) OJOS ASI:

An Intermediate Choreography (fast paced- 6 minute choreo) This is super fun, lots of tempo changes, to Shakira's song "Ojos asi LIVE" version

4) DRUM SOLO:

A short 1:12 drum solo (a great start up drum solo for any lovely wanting to try it)

NEW STUDENTS, Intro LEVEL STUDENTS, BEGINNER STUDENTS, INTERMEDIATE OR ADVANCED STUDENTS

(Dedicated students can properly prepare to perform in 6-8 weeks, even if at an intro level)

How will we prepare for this showcase?
Starting in August... we will have a 6 Week Belly Dance Technique Intensive to work on the specific moves for the choreographies we will be performing, as well as layering, traveling, footwork, arm and hip work to prepare for the choreographies.

Then mid-September to October we will have a 4 week-6 class Belly Dance Choreography Intensive to prepare for the showcase. We will drill the 4 choreographies. Students can choose from 1 or all 4 of the choreographies to perform. Performing in the showcase is completely optional. You can still join the session and learn the choreographies even if not performing in the showcase.

Updates and Details about showcase, costumes, choreographies, etc. will be posted on the Facebook page.
